The Train Inn is open 365 days per year. Reservations are accepted up to one year in advance. It is advised that you book as early as possible during busy times, such as major SIU events, holidays, hunting season, etc.

Peak Times
Peak times occur during SIU events. During these times, we require a minimum 2-night stay.

Deposit
Upon booking, a deposit will be required to hold your reservation. This can be paid via credit card over the phone or via PayPal. The balance will be due upon check-in and can be made via credit card, PayPal, travellers’ checks, or cash. The amount of deposit varies, depending when you book. If booking/paying by credit card, there is a 3% additional charge.

Cancellation Policy
Because we are a small establishment, cancellations can be very problematic for our scheduling and costs. This means we have to implement a rather strict cancellation policy. If you need to cancel and do so more than 30 days prior to your booking date, your deposit will be carried forward to your next stay only if you rebook within 60 days. Unfortunately, if you cancel a booking less than 30 days prior to your arrival date, we will not be able to refund your deposit, even if your booking was made within that 30 day period. Please note that during some special occasions, the cancellation policy will vary from usual.
